Recognition Languages

ABBYY FineReader 8.0 supports 179 recognition languages, including 36 languages with dictionary support. For languages with dictionary support you may use the FineReader spell-checking system. Here you can download additional recognition languages.

ABBYY FineReader 8.0 supports the following user interface languages:

Depending on distribution area the program may include different sets of interface languages. By default, ABBYY FineReader is installed with one interface language – according to user’s choice at the beginning of installation. ABBYY FineReader 8.0 versions (which are distributed via Internet) include a limited number of interface languages. This helps to reduce the file size and the time required for downloading. You can download additional interface languages, along with respective recognition languages, free of charge.
