The ABBYY Recognition Server distribution pack includes the following technical documentation:
- The Administrator's Guide provides instructions on installing, activating, and administering the Server.
- The end-user's Help system in compiled CHM format contains a detailed description of the API and general information about licensing and activation.
- The Code Samples provided with Recognition Server 1.0 will help developers understand how to use the Open API component.

Administration and Integration Tools
Administration Module
The Recognition Server administration module is based on Microsoft® Management Console (MMC), version 1.1 which is an extensible common presentation service for management applications. MMC is a Windows-based multiple document interface (MDI) application that heavily uses Internet technologies.
Application Programming Interface (API)
Recognition Server provides convenient COM-based Open Client API that allows managing of Server's activities from an external application (via XML-tickets).

Server Manager
- PC with Intel® Pentium®/Celeron®/Xeon™, AMD K6/Athlon™/Duron™/Sempron™ or compatible processor with a minimum clock speed of 500 MHz.
- Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 2000.
- Memory: 128 MB RAM.
- Hard disk space: 15 MB for installation and 100 MB for program operation.
- The account, which is used by Recognition Server must be have read/write permissions to the following registry braches:

Processing Station
