ABBYY FineReader Engine 7.1 inherits all the new features that are available in FineReader Engine 7.0. Most of such features are improvements in core technology that you may see in ABBYY FineReader Engine 7.1 Technology Background. In addition, it offers a set of special unique features, including:

• Network runtime licenses
  Network License Manager is a new tool which makes managing licenses and distribution of work between workstations in a network easier and more flexible. Developers can easily set up a single license in a network for several workstations, concurrent or non-concurrent, or establish a shared page counter for use by all workstations across a network. • Form processing
  FineReader Engine 7.1 API provides with new functions based on FormReader product. It makes possible to solve form processing tasks, i.e. to process many similar documents of one and the same kind, such as questionnaires, bulletins, forms, warranty cards, contracts, tables, etc. It also allows to extract data from documents with similar data, but different layouts (such as invoices, health claim forms, resumes, etc.) with the aid of innovative product FlexiCapture Studio. Both FormReader and FlexiCapture Studio are included into FineReader Engine with the licenses that allow testing and adjusting form processing functions of FineReader Engine. • CJK OCR
  ABBYY FineReader Engine 7.1 adds one more language – Korean – for OCR of Asian languages. • Indian ICR digits.
  New version of Engine 7.1 ICR supports recognition of Indian ICR digits that are used in Arab states.
